A consummate marketing professional – Fay Ferguson is a passionate, ambitious and empathetic leader. She is a self-motivated risk-taker and workaholic. Fay believes that good is not good enough and that one should always strive for greatness.

In 2004, Ferguson who is Co-CEO of Burrell Communications Group (BCG), orchestrated a management buy-out of the agency when founder Tom Burrell retired.  Fay and her partner collectively own a majority stake in BCG.  She is focused on being successful, while holding on to her personal values and maintaining her family as a priority.

Fay has received numerous awards, including Chicago Advertising Woman of the Year, “Advertising Working Mother of the Year, Trailblazer Mom”, the Target Market News Advertising Executive of the Year MAAX award, The Women’s Leadership Exchange – Most Influential Women and Black Enterprise, Top Women Executives In Advertising and Marketing to name a few.

Fay was recently inducted into the History Markers, a prestigious honor awarded to individuals who have achieved lifetime recognition for outstanding work in their fields.  She is a longtime advocate and fearless thought leader who has taken Burrell to new heights.

Burrell clients under Fay’s leadership include Toyota, Comcast, General Mills, McDonald’s National and the BWR (Baltimore/Washington Regional) business. She has contributed to the City of Chicago Anti-Violence Campaign, and others.

Committed to being an active, caring citizen, Fay also leads the agency’s partnership with the American Diabetes Association, Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes and the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Chicago providing dinner and a fun welcome break to children and families.

Fay is active on several boards, including Perspectives Charter School, the Chicago Advertising Federation, The Chicago Network, the North Shore Chapter of the Links, Inc., the American Association of Advertising Agencies – Purple Forum and the Economic Club of Chicago. Fay earned a BA degree from Concordia College where she graduated magna cum laude and an MBA from Indiana University.

She is especially proud of her son Eric, who serves our country as a LT JD in the US Navy.
